COUNCIL MINUTES OCTOBER 23, 2000
3. That the hardship is not due to economic considerations alone and when a reasonable •
use for the property exists under the terms of the ordinance.
4. That granting the variance requested will not confer on the applicant any special
privilege that would be denied by this ordinance to other lands, structures, or buildings
in the same district.
5. That the proposed actions will be keeping with the spirit and intent of the ordinance.
The proposed hanger will be located approximately 125' from the front property line and 5.5' from
the side property line. The Ordinance requires a 30' front and 5' side setback. The existing house &
garage is approximately 190' from the front property line. Staff has received a letter from the
adjoining property owners indicating no objection to the proposed hanger location. Staff also
received comments from the Air Park Association indicating this proposed location is optimum for
several reasons in their letter. The main consideration is the 7/1 trans' •
runway, which could not be achieved if the structure were located
Ordinance.
