• <br />• <br />• <br />COUNCIL MINUTES MAY 14, 2001 <br />Resolution No. 01— 66, Order Preparation of Plans and Specifications for the 2001 Surface <br />Water Management Project, (3/5 Vote Required), John Powell — City Engineer Powell advised <br />after storm water ponds and drainage ways are constructed, they require periodic maintenance to <br />ensure their effectiveness. Five (5) areas have been identified for maintenance in 2001; they are <br />located as follows: <br />Location <br />Mar Don Acres <br />Twilight Acres 2nd Addition <br />Highland Meadows West <br />Thomas Street <br />Tomahawk Trail <br />Type of Maintenance <br />Pond cleaning <br />Pond cleaning <br />Downstream ditch cleaning <br />Outfall repair <br />Ditch Cleaning <br />The maintenance activity required at these sites is more extensive that <br />Public Works staff. They have been combined into one project in <br />costs. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 01— 66 can be found in the City Clerk's office. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, FIRST READING, Ordinance No. 01— 07, Vacating an Easement on Lot <br />11, Block 1, Lino Air Park North, (4/5 Vote Required), John Powell — City Engineer Powell <br />advised the owner of the lot at 314 Carl Street has petitioned the City to vacate a portion of the <br />easement located on his lot. The dimensions of the existing easement, the proposed easement, and the <br />legal description have been outlined. The existing easement was dedicated for ponding and flowage <br />purposes. The property owner has requested this change because the existing easement configuration <br />will not accommodate his proposed house and hanger. There is also a taxiway easement on the <br />property that will be left unaltered. <br />17 <br />
