CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MAY 23, 2001 <br />DISCUSS PARK DEDICATION ORDINANCE, JEFF SMYSER/AL BRIXIUS <br />City Planner Smyser advised that the Council approved the first reading of the new park <br />dedication ordinance at the last Council meeting. However, there were questions <br />regarding the numbers used in the calculation. <br />Mr. Al Brixius came forward and reviewed in detail a memo regarding the requirements <br />for combination (cash and land) dedication, commercial/industrial dedication and revised <br />recommendation for residential dedication. He also reviewed examples of each type of <br />dedication noting the figures need to be periodically reviewed in the future. <br />Council directed staff to make sure the ordinance reads "charge per unit" relating to the <br />park dedication fees. <br />This item will appear on the regular agenda Tuesday, May 29, 2001 6:30 p.m. <br />TOWN CENTER UPDATE <br />Village Development Project, Brian Wessel - Econo <br />advised the target date for Council to review the deve <br />2001. He <br />reviewed the abatement process is detail noting the actions necessary at the next Council <br />meeting. <br />Council Member O'Donnell asked at what point an agreement will be put together <br />regarding the dollars to be used by abatement. <br />2 <br />
