COUNCIL MINUTES AUGUST 13, 2001 <br />Ms. Sue Walseth, 6408 Cassiopeia Court, came forward and thanked the Public Works Department <br />for installing a street light in her area. She stated she would also like to see one installed at County <br />Road J and Holly Drive. She stated there is a blind intersection on South Trappers and Holly Drive <br />due to excessive brush. She asked that it be removed. She referred to the minutes from 1994 <br />regarding the Birch Park trail issue. She stated the Park Board did designate dollars for access to the <br />park, as well as other developments in the area. She indicated she has discussed this issue with Mr. <br />DeGardner over the past several years and she reviewed the obstacles the City has had in developing <br />the trail. She requested information regarding what happened to the trail funds because the trail has <br />not been developed. The designated dollars should be enough for the condemnation process and the <br />trail construction costs. She stated there is a big safety issue and she would like some answers. <br />Mayor Bergeson advised staff will investigate Ms. Walseth's issues and contact her. <br />City Engineer Powell advised the City did do some brush clearing but staff can view the area in <br />question again.
