APPROVED COUNCIL MINUTES DECEMBER 9, 2002 <br />•1 Councilmember Carlson stated she would consider tabling because staff will be hearing from Anoka <br />2 County to find out what road improvements they will be requesting. She stated her question would be <br />3 how the City would cover the cost of those required road improvements. Community Development <br />4 Director Grochala stated that would be at the cost of the developer. <br />5 <br />6 Councilmember Carlson stated she does not want to find out in the future that the City will have to <br />7 install another water tower due to excess water use. <br />8 <br />9 Mayor Bergeson suggested that Councilmembers notify staff if they would like to receive any <br />10 additional information. <br />11 <br />12 Councilmember Reinert stated he would like information on environmental impacts, what other car <br />13 washes are doing now, and State or other regulatory agency recommendations. <br />14 <br />15 Councilmember Dahl stated that the Perfect 10 Car Wash in Blaine is required to reclaim water. <br />16 <br />17 Mr. Benkler stated Perfect 10 Car Wash is one of the best in the State and on a given weekend will do <br />18 1,000 to 1,200 cars a day. He stated they are projecting 70 to 150 cars in a 13 -hour time period so <br />19 they will not use the volume of water used by Perfect 10 Car Wash. He stated that they will consider <br />20 installing the filtration tanks and plumbing so it is easily available in the future, if needed. <br />21 <br />22 Mayor Bergeson asked staff to review the legal deadline for the City to make this decision. <br />4111 23 <br />24 Community Development Director Grochala stated the City must make a decision by January 8, 2003. <br />25 <br />26 City Administrator Waite Smith noted the first Council meeting in 2003 is January 13. <br />27 <br />28 Councilmember Carlson requested the response from Anoka County for review at the work session. <br />29 <br />30 Motion carried unanimously. <br />31 <br />32 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />33 <br />34 Consider October 14, 2002 City Council Minutes <br />35 <br />36 Councilmember Carlson moved to approve the October 14, 2002 City Council Meeting Minutes, as <br />37 presented.
