COUNCIL MINUTES NOVEMBER 24, 2003 <br />APPROVED <br />97 Councilmember Reinert stated he would like to hear about what changes the new owners are <br />• 98 proposing, if any. Chris McAlpine stated they will run it as is in the beginning to see how things go, <br />99 with remodeling taking place in a few months. <br />100 <br />101 Councilmember Reinert asked if they are familiar with the establishment. Mr. McAlpine stated they <br />102 are familiar with it. <br />103 <br />104 Mayor Bergeson noted that while he is sure the new owners are aware of this, he wanted to reiterate <br />105 the City takes their liquor and tobacco licenses seriously, and he hopes they will practice full <br />106 compliance. He welcomed them to the community. <br />107 <br />108 Councilmember Reinert moved to adopt Resolution No. 03-215 approving transfer of existing On - <br />109 sale Liquor License from David Nathe to Michael Lovick, Damon Lawson, and Chris McAlpine d/b/a <br />110 DM Hospitality and issuance of new Tobacco License, both for the 49 Club, 6007 Hodgson Road. <br />111 Councilmember Dahl seconded the motion. <br />112 <br />113 Motion carried unanimously. <br />114 <br />115 Resolution No. 03-215 can be found in the City Clerk's office. <br />116 <br />117 B. Consider Rescinding Resolution No. 03-198, which approved transfer of Off -Sale Liquor <br />118 License, J & K Liquors, Ann Blair, City Clerk <br />119 <br />Ail 20 City Clerk Blair summarized the Staff report, indicating the City Council is not required to take any <br />21 official action in this reversal. She stated that in the interest of clarity, she recommends that the <br />122 Council move to reconsider its approval of Resolution No. 03-198, and then to formally deny the <br />123 application on the basis that the sale is null and void. <br />124 <br />125 Councilmember O'Donnell moved to reconsider Resolution No. 03-198, which approved transfer of <br />126 Off -Sale Liquor License, J & K Liquors. Councilmember Dahl seconded the motion. <br />127 <br />128 Motion carried unanimously. <br />129 <br />130 Councilmember Reinert moved to deny Resolution No. 03-198, denying transfer of Off -Sale Liquor <br />131 License, J & K Liquors.
