SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MAY 27, 2004 <br />APPROVED <br />1 CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />• 2 SPECIAL MEETING TO DISCUSS <br />3 2004 FARMLAND LEASE <br />4 MINUTES <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 DATE : May 27, 2004 <br />8 TIME STARTED : 6:32 P.M. <br />9 TIME ENDED : 6:45 P.M. <br />10 MEMBERS PRESENT : Councilmembers Carlson, Dahl, Reinert, Stoltz <br />11 and Mayor Bergeson <br />12 MEMBERS ABSENT : None <br />13 STAFF PRESENT : City Administrator, Gordon Heitke <br />14 <br />15 CONSIDER RESOLUTION NO. 04-76 AWARDING FARMLAND LEASE FOR 2004 <br />16 <br />17 City Administrator Heitke indicated that bids had been publicly opened at noon earlier in the day, and <br />18 the apparent high bidder was Andy Cardinal. Two bids had been received, and it was the opinion of <br />19 the City Attorney that the other bid, received from Paul Montain, was non-responsive as it contained <br />20 various options and a payment schedule. <br />21 <br />22 Staff was recommending that the Council consider awarding the bid for the 2004 farmland lease to <br />23 Andy Cardinal in the amount of $1,600.00. <br />•24 <br />25 Councilmember Carlson suggested that photos be taken of the property in question to insure that <br />26 conditions of the lease agreement would be met. Staff was directed to take pictures. <br />27 <br />28 Motion by Councilmember Carlson, seconded by Councilmember Reinert, for adoption of Resolution <br />29 No. 04-76, Accepting Bid and Awarding 2004 Farmland Lease Agreement to Andrew Cardinal.
