CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AUGUST 17, 2005 <br />APPROVED <br />• 1 <br />2 BLUE HERON DAYS UPDATE, GORDON HEITKE <br />3 <br />4 City Administrator Heitke advised there are no last minute items to consider in relation to <br />5 Blue Heron Days. He advised the City Council should arrive at the parade Saturday, <br />6 August 20, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. <br />7 <br />8 BLOCK PARTY APPLICATION AND APPROVAL PROCESS, GORDON <br />9 HEITKE <br />10 <br />11 City Administrator Heitke advised staff is working on revising the block party application <br />12 and approval process. When the revisions are completed, they will be presented to the <br />13 City Council. <br />14 <br />15 TEMPORARY YMCA OFFICE SPACE REQUEST, GORDON HEITKE <br />16 <br />17 City Administrator Heitke advised two week ago, a memo was distributed to determine if <br />18 anyone had questions or concerns about the YMCA request to establish a temporary <br />19 office in the Lino Lakes Civic Complex. A concern was expressed and it was requested <br />20 that the Council discuss this issue. <br />21 <br />• 22 Chief Pecchia advised there is space in the Police Department and he is very comfortable <br />23 with a YMCA staff person temporarily using office space. However, if the YMCA staff <br />24 person knows there is a concern with that, she will not be comfortable and it would be <br />25 better to office in the Administration building. <br />26 <br />27 It was the consensus of the Council that they are comfortable with a YMCA staff person <br />28 using temporary office space in the Administration building. <br />29 <br />30 REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS <br />31 <br />32 Item 6Ai, Consideration of Resolution No. 05 — 124, Approving Preliminary Plat, E.G. <br />33 Rud — Council directed staff to research the parcel of property that was to be set aside for <br />34 a City sign. <br />35 <br />36 Resolution supporting the merger of VLAWMO with Ramsey / Washington was added to <br />37 the regular agenda. <br />38 <br />39 There were no other changes to the regular Council agenda. <br />40 <br />41 The meeting was adjourned at 11:19 p.m. <br />42 <br />43 These minutes were considered, corrected and approved at the regular Council meeting held on <br />• <br />44 September 26, 2005. <br />4 <br />
