• <br />• <br />CANVASSING BOARD MEETING NOVEMBER 14, 2005 <br />APPROVED <br />CANVASSING BOARD MEETING <br />MINUTES <br />DATE : November 14, 2005 <br />TIME STARTED : 6:31 p.m. <br />TIME ENDED : 6:35 p.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT : Councilmembers Carlson, Dahl, Reinert, Stoltz <br />and Mayor Bergeson <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : None <br />Staff members present: City Administrator, Gordon Heitke, Acting City Clerk, Jean Viger; <br />Community Development Director, Michael Grochala; Economic Development Director, Mary <br />Divine; and City Attorney, Bill Hawkins. <br />Acting City Clerk Viger advised the results of the election were distributed in the packets. The <br />City Council is required by law to certify them and sign the final document. She further advised <br />the successful candidates were Mayor Bergeson, Councilmember Reinert, and a new <br />Councilmember, O'Donnell. She stated the vote was no on the street reconstruction referendum. <br />Councilmember Stoltz asked how the turnout percentage this year compares to other odd -year <br />elections. Acting City Clerk Viger replied the average this year was 48% and the average for <br />year 2003 was 46%, so the percentages are very close. <br />Councilmember Reinert moved to approve the Summary of General Election Results, November <br />8, 2005, as presented. Councilmember Carlson seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />There being no further business to discuss regarding this issue, Councilmember Stoltz moved to <br />adjourn at 6:35 p.m. Councilmember Reinert seconded the motion.
