Consideration of Minutes of November 9, 2005 Council Work Session (Councilmember <br />199 Dahl was absent) <br />.00 <br />01 Mayor Bergeson stated this was not on the consent agenda because Councilmember Dahl was absent. <br />202 <br />203 Councilmember Reinert moved to approve the minutes of November 9, 2005 Council Work Session <br />204 as submitted. Councilmember Carlson seconded the motion. <br />205 <br />206 Motion carried 4-0-1. Councilmember Dahl abstained. <br />207 <br />208 B. Consideration of Resolution No. 05-186, Supporting the Requirement of Holding a <br />209 Referendum for the Funding of a Sports Stadium <br />210 <br />211 Mayor Bergeson stated Council previously discussed this item and requested to hear from Anoka <br />212 County and from City residents. <br />213 <br />214 Councilmember Carlson requested the proposed ordinance be read. <br />215 <br />216 Ron Holch, 6599 Hokah Drive, stated it is State law to vote on taxes for a stadium and other revenue <br />217 such as this; therefore, he is asking the City to support the existing State law. He read Resolution No. <br />218 05-186. He referenced the pertinent statute and noted that it has never been bypassed. He added the <br />219 City will be impacted by a stadium and will incur additional costs for items such as extra police. <br />220 <br />221 Mayor Bergeson opened the item for public comment at 7:23 p.m. <br />*22 <br />5 <br />
