Consideration of Minutes of November 22, 2005 Council Work Session (Councilmember <br />280 Dahl was absent) <br />281 <br />282 Mayor Bergeson stated this was not on the consent agenda because Councilmember Dahl was absent. <br />283 <br />284 Councilmember Stoltz moved to approve the minutes of November 22, 2005 Council Work Session <br />285 as submitted. Councilmember Reinert seconded the motion. <br />286 <br />287 Motion carried 4-0-1. Councilmember Dahl abstained. <br />288 <br />289 B. Consideration of Resolution No. 05-186, Financing of Sports Stadium <br />.90 <br />91 City Administrator Heitke summarized the Staff report, indicating Staff recommends approval. <br />292 <br />293 Mayor Bergeson opened the item to Lino Lakes' residents for public comment at 7:37 p.m. <br />294 <br />295 Councilmember Carlson asked if residents from other cities could speak. City Attorney Hawkins <br />296 replied there are no Charter conditions. Mayor Bergeson replied he will poll Council once City <br />297 residents have spoken. <br />298 <br />299 Gerald Berg, 6489 Totem Trail, stated Anoka County Commissioners have abandoned the majority of <br />300 taxpayers; therefore, Council needs to represent taxpayers and support the referendum. <br />301 <br />302 Ron Holch, 6599 Hokah Drive, presented a letter from Raymond and Judith Stadum, 663 Andall <br />303 Street. He stated he is in support of the state statute requiring a vote on taxes for the proposed <br />304 stadium. He polled the audience for resolution supporters. He questioned some Council members <br />305 change of referendum support. He noted if a stadium is built the City will incur additional costs such <br />306 as with police and fire. He added taking money from those who need it and giving it to those who do <br />307 not is inappropriate; therefore, if the resolution is voted down it will imply Council does not care. <br />308 <br />309 Burt Hanson, no address given, stated he wants Council to be aware of who they are dancing with. <br />310 He told a life story of his encounter with Commissioners.
