COUNCIL WORK SESSION MARCH 27, 2006 <br />APPROVED <br />411 1 CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />2 MINUTES <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 DATE : March 27, 2006 <br />7 TIME STARTED : 5:40 p.m. <br />8 TIME ENDED : 6:28 p.m. <br />9 MEMBERS PRESENT : Councilmember Carlson, Reinert, Stoltz <br />10 and Mayor Bergeson <br />11 MEMBERS ABSENT : O'Donnell <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 Staff members present: City Administrator, Gordon Heitke; Community Development <br />15 Director, Mike Grochala; City Engineer, Jim Studenski; and City Clerk, Julie Bartell <br />16 <br />17 Staff advised the purpose of the meeting is to answer any Council questions regarding the <br />18 regular Council meeting agenda. <br />19 <br />20 A revised agenda was distributed that included Item 8C, Resolution No. 06-54, <br />21 Supporting the Passage of State of Minnesota Legislation (H.F. 3805 and S.F. 3526) <br />22 Designating a Segment of Interstate Highway 35W as "Shawn Silvera Memorial <br />• 23 Highway". <br />24 <br />25 City Administrator Heitke advised a VLAWMO meeting is scheduled for Thursday, <br />26 March 30, 2006, 6:30 p.m. at the White Bear Lake City Hall. <br />27 <br />28 He also advised a special Council work session has been scheduled for Monday, April 10, <br />29 2006, 5:15 p.m. for a presentation of the Community Survey. <br />30 <br />31 Staff reviewed the regular Council agenda. It was determined that Item 1Biia and 1Biib, <br />32 Municipal Aid Streets, should be removed from the Consent Agenda and moved to the <br />33 regular Council agenda, Items 6Bi and 6Bii. <br />34 <br />35 Council also requested an opinion from the City Attorney regarding the process on the <br />36 second reading of Ordinance No. 04-06, Charter Amendment, Relating to Chapter 20 of <br />37 the Lino Lakes City Charter, Amending Section 2.04 to add Language Regarding <br />38 Incompatible Offices. <br />39 <br />40 There were no other changes to the regular Council agenda. <br />41 <br />42 The City Council moved to the Council Chambers. Mayor Bergeson swore in the <br />43 following new Police Officers to the City of Lino Lakes Police Department: <br />• 44 <br />45 1. Joel Martin <br />2. Vince Klasner <br />
