The area is in need of restoration and stewardship. The <br />plan that has been put together would result in the rare plant life flourishing. <br />Mr. Schoenbauer provided a power point presentation that included the conservation <br />development background, public values and economic realities. <br />Mr. Schoenbauer presented the proposed plan in comparison to a traditional development. <br />Comparisons included number of residential units and proposed trails. He reviewed <br />images, economic impacts and the phasing plan. He also noted the basic agreement <br />parameters in terms of the developer and the City. <br />Community Development Director Grochala introduced Mr. Rick Carlson and Mr. John <br />Peterson, developers of the proposed plan. He indicated the developers have been very <br />cooperative and eager to work with the City on this project. <br />Discussion — Mr. Schoenbauer stated staff and the development team would like <br />feedback to determine if they are going in the right direction with the project. <br />Concerns and issues raised through the discussion included the following: <br />1. Impact on wildlife and breeding of wildlife <br />2. Creation of a wildlife and Blanding corridor <br />3. Destroying forest areas and mature trees <br />4. Management of stewardship <br />5. Water run-off <br />6. Philosophy of sub -contractors <br />7. Traffic <br />8. Construction of sidewalks throughout the development <br />9. Developer contribution to infrastructure <br />10.
