COUNCIL MINUTES March 10, 2008 <br />APPROVED <br />M447 There was no report from the Finance Department. <br />8 <br />49 ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAN TESCH <br />50 <br />51 Advisory Board Appointments - Administrator Heitke noted that the council considers <br />52 openings on city advisory boards annually. The information before the council includes the <br />53 results of the interview/voting process. The council did request that the Economic Development <br />54 Advisory Committee (EDAC) group be expanded to ten members. That action is included as <br />55 well as appointment to fill open seats. <br />56 <br />57 Council Member O'Donnell moved that the EDAC Committee be expanded to ten members <br />58 based on the number of outstanding candidates that are interested in serving the group. Council <br />59 Member Gallup seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />60 <br />61 Council Member Gallup moved to approve the advisory board appointments as presented. <br />62 Council Member Stoltz seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />63 <br />64 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAVE PECCHIA <br />65 <br />66 There was no report from the Public Safety Department. <br />67 <br />68 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT, RICK DEGARDNER <br />� <br />69 <br />70 There was no report from the Public Services Department. <br />71 <br />72 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REPORT, MICHAEL GROCHALA <br />73 <br />74 A. 2008 Street Maintenance Projects, James E. Studenski <br />75 <br />76 Resolution No. 08-28, Approving Plans and Specifications and Authorizing Advertisement <br />77 for Bids, 2008 Sealcoat Projects - Engineer Studenski reported on his recommendations <br />78 regarding the city's 2008 sealcoating project. He reviewed the proposed seven miles of streets <br />79 involved, noting that construction would occur in summer of 2008. <br />80 <br />81 Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve Resolution No. 08-28 as presented. Council <br />82 Member Gallup seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />83 <br />84 Resolution No. 08-29, Approving Plans and Specifications and Authorizing Advertisement <br />85 for Bids, 2008 Overlay Project.- Engineer Studenski reported on his recommendations for the <br />86 city's 2008 street overlay project. He reviewed the proposed streets that would be completed, <br />87 noting that work would be done in summer of 2008. <br />88 <br />89 Council Member Stoltz moved to approve Resolution No. 08-29 as presented. Council Member <br />90 O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />•91 <br />2 <br />
