Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />176 <br />177 6B) Consider 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 11-08, Amending the Zoning Ordinance to <br />178 accommodate Animal Control Regulations, Non -Conforming Uses, Accessory Structures <br />179 located within an Easement, and typographical corrections. Planner Bengtson reported that <br />180 this ordinance is sponsored by staff to comply with the recently approved and updated animal <br />181 control regulations. There were some unrelated changes identified in the process of review of <br />182 these sections. The majority of changes being proposed are specific to the city code changes <br />183 regarding animal control and do not greatly change the requirements of the ordinance but relate <br />184 mainly to text changes. Other changes include amendments to align the city with state statutes in <br />185 regard to non -conforming uses and structures and amendments to address the city policy to allow <br />186 accessory structures to be placed in easements under certain conditions, as well as some non - <br />187 substantive grammatical errors. The Planning and Zoning Board held a public hearing on the <br />188 ordinance and then recommended approval. <br />189 <br />190 Council Member Gallup moved to dispense with full reading of the ordinance. Council Member <br />191 Reinert seconded the motion.
