APPROVED 1 CITY OF LINO LAKES •2 MINUTES 3 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING 4 5 DATE: : August 11, 2008 6 TIME STARTED : 6:30 p.m. 7 TIME ENDED : 7:55 p.m. 8 MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Members Gallup, O'Donnell, Reinert, 9 Stoltz and Mayor Bergeson 10 MEMBERS ABSENT : none 11 12 STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: City Administrator, Gordon Heitke; City Attorney, Scott 13 Baumgartner; City Planner, Paul Bengtson; City Engineer, James Studenski, City Clerk, Julie 14 Bartell 15 PUBLIC COMMENT 16 There was no one present for public comment. 17 SETTING THE AGENDA 18 The agenda was reviewed. •19 SPECIAL PRESENTATION 20 Lino Lakes 2007 and 2008 Ambassadors Bethany Bums, Renata Thielen and Heather Ott, 21 thanked the council for their support, briefly reviewed their activities over the past year and 22 introduced this year's candidates, as follows: • 23 Samantha Barriga, sponsored by Country Inn and Suites; 24 Stephanie Haman, sponsored by Molin Concrete; 25 Shelby Kusterman, sponsored by American Legion Post 566; 26 Christine Lambert, sponsored by Eagle Liquor; 27 Caitlin Laszewski, sponsored by US Bank; 28 Alexandra Lingle, sponsored by Lang Builders; 29 Peggy Ly, sponsored by Chomonic Golf Course; 30 Erin Magnuson, sponsored by David Alt Insurance Agency; 31 Laura Tadlock, sponsored by Red Oak Steaks and Wine. 32 33 The Ambassdors presented the council with the plaque representing The Princess Award that 34 they won at the Northeast Parade. 35 36 The Mayor also recognized Lynn Bergman, director of the Ambassador's Program. Ms. 37 Bergman thanked the city for supporting the program. She is proud of the Lino Lakes 38 Ambassadors and looks forward to the event when next year's representatives will be chosen. 39 The coronation will take place on August 17 at St. Joseph's Church at 4:30 p.m. -1-
