• <br />• <br />APPROVED <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />CANVASSING BOARD <br />DATE : November 10, 2008 <br />TIME STARTED : 6:20 p.m. <br />TIME ENDED : 6:27 p.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Members Gallup, <br />O'Donnell, Reinert, Stoltz and Mayor <br />Bergeson <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : none <br />Staff members present: City Administrator, Gordon Heitke; Deputy City Clerk, Jean <br />Viger; and City Clerk, Julie Bartell <br />Deputy Clerk Viger reviewed the Election Summary Report of the special election held <br />on November 4, 2008 outlining the results of the city question on an amendment to the <br />city charter. She explained that Minnesota Statutes require that the governing body of <br />any city that conducts an election must canvass the returns of that election and declare the <br />results within seven days. Along with the summary report, the council was provided with <br />a copy of the voting machine tapes showing the votes on the charter amendment question. <br />Canvassing Board Member Gallup moved to accept the November 4, 2008 Election <br />Summary Report, as presented. Canvassing Board Member Stoltz seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Deputy Clerk Viger announced that she had received notification from Anoka County <br />that Lino Lakes Precinct 4 would be audited. Several precincts throughout the county <br />area randomly selected for audit as a standard practice each election. <br />Being no further business, Canvassing Board Member O'Donnell moved to adjourn at <br />6:27 p.m. Canvassing Board Member Gallup seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />These minutes were considered, corrected and approved at the regular Council meeting held on <br />November 24, 2008. <br />City Cle Julianne B ell <br />
