• <br />• <br />Council Member Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01-67 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF STUDY FOR THE LINO LAKES <br />MARKETPLACE IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, in response to a petition from property owners located on the east side of <br />Lake Drive, south of 77th Street and north of Apollo Drive extended, in an area proposed <br />to be platted as the Lino Lakes Marketplace, it is proposed to improve this area <br />generally located in the South Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 8 by constructing <br />utility and street improvements, and <br />WHEREAS, notwithstanding claims regarding assessable costs made in the petition <br />letter of May 8, 2001, the City will determine the benefiting properties and the <br />assessable costs, and <br />WHEREAS, the City proposes to assess the benefited property for all or a portion of the <br />cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. That the proposed improvements be referred to the City Engineer for study and <br />that he is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising <br />the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvements are <br />feasible and as to whether they should best be made as proposed or in <br />connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the <br />improvements as recommended. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 14th df May, 2001. <br />JearyVper, Deputy City( <br />The`m'otion for adoption 6 h foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Reinert and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: Bergeson, Carlson, Dahl, O8Donnell,Reinert <br />John : Ber , Mfg or <br />. onnY <br />g <br />The following voted against same: none <br />Whereupon said resolution was duly passed and adopted. <br />CERTIFICATION <br />I hereby certify that the above is a correct copy of a resolution duly passed, adopted and <br />approved by the City Council on May 14, 200 <br />Iger, Deputy I Clerk <br />
