CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15-36 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS, AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT, 2015 RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT SHENANDOAH NEIGHBORHOOD <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 2015 Reconstruction <br />Project Shenandoah Neighborhood, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, <br />and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of bid <br />Arnt Construction Company, Inc. $2,227,975.18 <br />Dresel Contracting, Inc. $2,310,740.46 <br />T. A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. $2,491,093.34 <br />Valley Paving - Shakopee $2,582,986.24 <br />Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. $3,084,373.20 <br />Park Construction Company - Mpls $3,135,157.65 <br />Engineer's Opinion of Cost $2,777,582.50 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Arnt Construction Company, Inc. is the lowest responsible <br />bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Arnt <br />Construction Company, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of <br />the 2015 Reconstruction Project Shenandoah Neighborhood according to the plans and <br />specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid <br />Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 13th day of April, 2015. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />and was duly seconded by Council Member and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />
