Council Member <br />187 Roeser noted that the council will be taking a tour next week of all city assets (buildings) and perhaps <br />188 that will provide more insight into storage needs. <br />189 <br />190 Council Member Rafferty moved to postpone consideration of Resolution No. 15-58. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />192 <br />193 6B) Resolution No. 15-61, Approving Construction Services Contract with WSB for <br />194 Birch/Centerville Road Street and Utility Improvements — City Engineer Hankee explained that <br />195 this project is nearing completion and the proposal before the council is for WSB to finalize what <br />196 remains. The cost of the services remaining would be billed to the city and the amount presented is a <br />197 "not to exceed". <br />198 <br />199 Council Member Stoesz moved to approve Resolution No. 15-61 with an amendment to indicate that <br />200 the amount is "not to exceed". Council Member Roeser seconded the motion. Motion carried on a <br />201 voice vote. <br />202 <br />203 6C) Resolution No. 15-62, Approving Construction Services Contract with WBS for the 2015 <br />204 Street Reconstruction Project (Shenandoah Area) — City Engineer Hankee explained the work on <br />205 this project that is underway and how staff is keeping the public up to date on the city website. She <br />206 confirmed that the project is on schedule and the permit from the Rice Creek Watershed District is in <br />207 place. The project will be done in three phases. The council reviewed the plans for to deal with ash <br />208 trees present in the project area. <br />209 <br />210 Council Member Stoesz moved to approve Resolution No. 15-62 with an amendment to indicate that <br />211 the amount is "not to exceed". Council Member Rafferty seconded the motion. Motion carried on a <br />212 voice vote. <br />213 <br />214 6D) Resolution No. 15-63, Approving a Professional Design Services Contract with WSB for <br />215 the Birch Street By -Pass Lane at Old Birch Street- City Engineer Hankee reviewed the request to <br />216 approve a contract with WSB for the design of a by-pass lane related to the Saddle Club development. <br />217 The design fees will be paid by the developer and the cost of improvements will be funded by Anoka <br />218 County. The contract authorizes WSB to go ahead with design plans and specifications. <br />219 <br />220 Mayor Reinert noted that there were some concerns raised by residents at the public meeting held on <br />221 the development. Were those concerns resolved? Ms. Hankee explained that staff has worked to <br />222 resolve concerns overall. There are some residents that have drainage concerns and staff continues to <br />223 work with them. Mayor Reinert suggested that he believes in letting people know that the city will <br />224 help with their issue and be there in the long term if issues arise later. <br />225 <br />5 <br />
