CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14-05 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO SECTION 2.6 <br />OF THE CENTENNIAL FIRE DISTRICT JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Centennial Fire District Steering Committee ("Committee") has forwarded a <br />proposed amendment to the City Councils of the three member cities in accordance with Section <br />16.2 of the Joint Powers Agreement ("JPA"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Committee voted in favor of recommending an amendment to Section 2.6 of <br />the JPA, which establishes the voting requirements for Committee members; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed amendment to Section 2.6 specifies that two members from any one <br />city can veto a motion up to four times in any calendar year; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes <br />approves the proposed amendment to Section 2.6 of the Centennial Fire District JPA as <br />submitted by the Steering Committee. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 21st day of January, 2014. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Stoesz and was duly seconded by Council Member Roeser and upon vote being taken thereon, <br />the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Stoesz, Kusterman, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />Rafferty, Roeser <br />Jeff Reinert Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />
