AGENDA ITEM 6C <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: January 27, 2014 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 14-10, Authorizing <br />Execution of Professional Services <br />Agreement with WSB and Associates. <br />ACTION REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff if requesting council authorization to enter into an agreement with WSB and Associates to <br />provide general municipal engineering services for the City. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In June of 2011, following completion of an RFP process, the City retained WSB & Associates <br />to serve as the City Engineer. The original agreement was for 18 months through December of <br />2012. The contract was renewed in 2013. <br />Staff has requested an extension of WSB's services contract for 2014. Under the terms of the <br />agreement WSB will provide general engineering services, detailed within the agreement, to the <br />city based on a fixed monthly retainer. The contract will incorporate a 24 hour work week. <br />WSB will charge the City $79,722 for general services through December 2013. This is an <br />increase of 3% ($2,322) over the 2013 contract. The proposed increase is provided for within the <br />2014 Budget. <br />Services outside the scope of the general engineering are billed separately from the retainer at <br />WSB standard hourly rates. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 14-10 authorizing execution of a professional <br />services agreement for Municipal Engineering Services with WSB and Associates. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
