CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14-24 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT, <br />21st AVENUE STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 21St Avenue Street <br />and Utility Improvements, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the <br />following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of bid <br />A-1 Excavating, Inc $841,971.00 <br />LaTour Construction, Inc. $936,928.24 <br />Amt Construction Company, Inc. $937,407.10 <br />T.A. Larson Excavating, Inc. $1,124,295.50 <br />Geislinger & Sons, Inc. $1,144,158.00 <br />Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. $1,174,195.70 <br />Northwest Asphalt, Inc. $1,217,734.03 <br />Engineer's Estimate $977,635.50 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that A-1 Excavating, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with A-1 <br />Excavating, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the 21st <br />Avenue Street and Utility Improvements according to the plans and specifications approved <br />by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid <br />Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this ',2M day of jtiIctrc , 2014. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />and was duly seconded by Council Member Kusteymarl and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Rwser, kusfer'maci, R4erty, C-Ftesz, Refine rt <br />
