CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14-30 <br />ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM EAGLE BROOK CHURCH <br />FOR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Department has been and is currently transitioning all squad <br />car mounted laptops and station desktops to tablets that can be used by patrol officers as desktop <br />computers as well as in squads, thereby reducing the police department hardware footprint on the <br />City network and reducing future expenses; and <br />WHEREAS, transitioning to tablet computing has enabled the police department to comply <br />with all state and federal mandated security requirements as well as upgrade all police <br />department hardware to equipment that is compliant with new the Anoka County Public Safety <br />Data System, which begins to roll out in fall of 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, Eagle Brook Church has donated $5,000.00 to the Lino Lakes Police Department <br />to purchase two tablet computers; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes that <br />the city hereby accepts the donation of $5,000.00 and expresses gratitude to Eagle Brook Church <br />for said donation to be used for the purchase of two tablet computers. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 2014 General Fund budget is hereby amended in the <br />following manner: <br />Increase Revenue <br />101-3720-000 Contributions $5,000.00 <br />Increase Expenditure <br />101-420-5000-000 Police Capital Outlay $5,000.00 <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />I�us-F€rnnca.n and was duly seconded by Council Member RaeSer and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />(-mom Rcese r, Rafi-erfiy, 5-t--e5z1 'Rene <br />The following voted against same: <br />None. <br />ATTEST: <br />inne Bartell, Ci <br />k <br />Jeff Reinert, or <br />
