CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14-41 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING OTTER LAKE DAM PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE <br />CONTRIBUTION TO CITY OF HUGO <br />WHEREAS, the dam at the north end of Bald Eagle Lake has been in need of replacement; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hugo, while not the owner of the dam, has proposed preventive <br />maintenance activities to minimize risk of failure; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has requested financial assistance from neighboring <br />governmental jurisdictions to help fund the preventive maintenance activities; and <br />WHEREAS, the cost of said activates is $15,048; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes City Council finds that it in the interest of public safety and <br />welfare to contribute $2,500 to help defray the cost of said activities; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes, in making such contribution, is not assuming any <br />responsibility for, or contribution to, any interim or permanent improvement to the dam that <br />may be undertaken by the City of Hugo or other governmental entities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes <br />that payment in the amount of $2,500 to the City of Hugo for the purposes of completing <br />preventive maintenance activities for the Otter Lake Dam is hereby approved. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 12th day of May, 2014. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Roeser and was duly seconded by Council Member Kusterman and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Roeser, Kusterman, Rafferty, Stoesz, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />ATTEST: <br />u is - Bartell, City Cler <br />e Reinert, <br />
