CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14-126 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT, ACCEPTING BIDS, AND <br />AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT, WELL NO. 6 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Well No.6, bids were <br />received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying <br />with the advertisement: <br />Contractor <br />Base Bid <br />Alternate No. 1 <br />Keys Well Drilling Company <br />$176,950.00 <br />$0.00 <br />E.H. Renner & Sons, Inc. <br />$191,630.00 <br />$(400.00) <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Keys Well Drilling Company is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br />1. The Well No. 6 Project is hereby ordered as proposed in Resolution No. 14-108, adopted <br />by the Council on September 22, 2014. <br />2. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Keys <br />Well Drilling Company on behalf of the City of Lino Lakes in the amount of $176,950.00 <br />for the construction of the Well No. 6 Improvements according to the plans and <br />specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid <br />Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 27th day of October, 2014. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Kusterman and was duly seconded by Council Member Roeser <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Kusterman, Roeser, Rafferty, Stoesz, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />and upon <br />
