Vacant Buildings: Owners of a commercial/industrial building(s) connected to City water and/or sewer <br />utilities that are vacant due to business closures or other reasons may apply to have the number of billed REU's <br />reduced to one (1) REU for purposes of calculating utility fees effective from the date the building(s) were vacated <br />for as long as the building(s) remain unoccupied. When the building(s) again becomes occupied the owner must <br />inform the City of such occupation, at which time the number of REU's will be determined and utility fees <br />assessed according to the current fee structure.
