1St Reading: 11/24/2008 <br />Publication: 12/16/2008 <br />2nd Reading: 12/8/2008 <br />Effective: 1/15/2009 <br />Council Member O'Donnell moved for adoption of the following ordinance: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />ORDINANCE NO. 14-08 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT FOR THE <br />LEGACY AT WOODS EDGE (LINO LAKES TOWN CENTER) AS CREATED BY <br />ORIDINANCE 04-04. <br />The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota does ordain: <br />SECTION I. FINDINGS <br />The City Council makes the following findings regarding the application for <br />amending the Planned Unit Development for the property described below, <br />based on the factors listed in Section 2, Subd.1E of the Lino Lakes zoning <br />ordinance: <br />1. The proposed action has been considered in relation to the specific <br />policies and provisions of and has been found to be consistent with the <br />official City Comprehensive Plan, as the site is guided for mixed uses and <br />regulation of the signage is an important component of any mixed-use <br />development. <br />2. The proposed signage criteria is largely based on the current signage <br />standards for the city therefore the signage allowed within the site will be <br />compatible with the present and future land uses that surround the site. <br />3. The Lino Lakes Town Center Design & Development Guide will now <br />contain signage criteria that is in keeping with the typical signage <br />standards of the city while specifically addresses the mixed-use nature of <br />this type of development. <br />4. The proposed signage criteria will have no effect on public services and <br />will not overburden the City's service capacity. <br />5. Vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be aided by the proper display of <br />signage in accordance with the proposed standards. <br />The Planned Unit Development for the Legacy at Woods Edge (Lino Lakes Town <br />Center) as approved by Ordinance 04-04; and amended by Ordinance 02-06 is hereby <br />amended as follows: <br />
