Statewide (Minnesota) Criminal History check of all <br />applicants covering at least the last seven years. The <br />checks must be completed "in-person" or by utilizing the <br />most recent update of the state criminal history files. <br />- Statewide Criminal History checks from the applicant's <br />previous state of residence if the applicant is moving <br />directly from the previous state. <br />- Any company that the owner contracts with to conduct <br />Criminal History checks most meet the standards <br />established by the Public Safety Department. <br />Must have written "denial criteria" that must be provided <br />to each applicant at the time of application. <br />- The criteria established for denial of applicants must <br />apply equally to all persons regardless of race, color, <br />creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual <br />orientation, disability, age, marital status, or status <br />with regard to public assistance. <br />All managers must attend eight hours of annual STAR <br />training. <br />Management must assist the Police Department in <br />conducting resident crime prevention meetings when <br />requested. <br />Every prospective tenant eighteen (18) years of age or <br />older shall be required to complete a tenant application. <br />Every applicant shall submit proper photo identification, <br />which must be either a current driver's license or state <br />issued identification card. If the identification card is <br />from another state other than the State of Minnesota, the <br />lessee must require verification of the applicant's <br />social security number. <br />Applicants should be denied rental if the applicant <br />misrepresents information on the application. If <br />misrepresentations are found after a rental agreement is <br />executed, the licensee should terminate the rental <br />agreement. <br />Level "B" rated criteria <br />All criteria listed under Level C must be complied with. <br />Statewide Criminal History checks of any applicant in <br />their previous states of residence covering the last <br />seven years if they have not resided in Minnesota for <br />three years or longer. <br />Criminal History checks of all applicants conducted in <br />all seven counties in the metro Twin City area covering <br />at least the last seven years including all misdemeanor, <br />gross misdemeanor, and felony convictions. <br />�- Level "A" rated criteria <br />
