Section 4: ENFORCEMENT: The Primary responsibility for enforcement of this <br />ordinance shall rest with the Anoka County Sheriff's Department and the Lino <br />Lakes Police Department. This, however, shall not preclude enforcement by other <br />licensed peace officers. <br />Section 5: EXCEPTIONS: All authorized Resource Management, Emergency and <br />Enforcement Personnel, while acting in the performance of their assigned duties, are <br />exempt from the foregoing restrictions. <br />Section 6: NOTIFICATION: It shall be the responsibility of the Anoka County <br />Parks and Recreation Department to provide for adequate notification of the public, <br />which shall include placement of a sign at each public watercraft access outlining <br />essential elements of the ordinance, as well as the placement of necessary buoys and <br />signs. <br />Section 7: PENALTIES: Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of <br />this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor as defined by state law. <br />Section 8: EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be in force and effect from <br />and after its passage and publication as provided in the Lino Lakes City Charter. It shall <br />be repealed automatically on September 1, 2004. <br />Councilmember O'Donnell duly seconded the motion for Adoption of the Ordinance. <br />Motion by Mayor Bergeson, seconded by Councilmember Reinert, to amend the <br />Ordinance to provide that Section 3 of the Ordinance call for a straight line, rather than <br />an angled line for the no -wake zone. Upon roll call vote, this amendment passed <br />unanimously, and the amendment has been incorporated herein. <br />Vote on the motion to pass the amended Ordinance: <br />The following members voted aye: <br />Reinert, Bergeson, Carlson and O'Donnell. <br />The following members voted nay: <br />None. <br />(Councilmember Dahl was absent). <br />Whereupon the Ordinance was declared approved. <br />
