`— B. RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS <br />a. R-1" and R -1X Single -Family Residential District: <br />Purpose. This district is intended to provide a residential atmosphere for those <br />persons desiring a single-family neighborhood with a suburban density. The area <br />is intended for development of single-family detached homes on lots with public <br />sewer and water. <br />b. "R-2" Two -Family District: <br />Purpose. This district is intended to provide a residential atmosphere for those <br />persons desiring a two-family dwelling with a more urban, but limited, density. <br />Two-family dwellings will not be allowed in areas without sanitary sewer. <br />c. "R-3" Medium Density Residential District: <br />Purpose. The purpose of the R-3 Medium density Residential District is to <br />provide settings for multiple -family structures up to eight dwelling units per <br />building in areas having good thoroughfare access, are properly located to other <br />uses and are accessible to major activity center, recreation areas and shopping <br />areas. <br />d. "R-4" High Density Residential District: <br />Purpose. The purpose of the R-4 High Density Residential Districts is to provide <br />settings for multiple -family housing in areas having good thoroughfare access, <br />proper relationship to other uses and are accessible to major activity center, <br />recreation areas and shopping areas. <br />e. "R-6" Manufactured Home Park District: <br />Purpose. The purpose of the Manufactured Home Park District is to provide <br />opportunities for manufactured housing in a planned community. This district is <br />intended to provide opportunities for almost all types of manufactured homes <br />including those which may not be able to meet the design standards established in <br />other residential districts. All manufactured Home Parks are required to conform <br />to the provisions of this section and other appropriate sections of the code. <br />f. "R-7" Manufactured Home Subdivision District: <br />Purpose. The purpose of this district is to provide opportunities for manufactured <br />housing for manufactured homes which meet the design criteria established in this <br />5 <br />
