Council Member <br />adoption: <br />Neal <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />Ordinance No. 36 - 97 <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 16 - 97, AND <br />RESTORING THE RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE HAULER'S LICENSE <br />RENEWAL DATE TO JUNE 1 OF EACH YEAR <br />The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes ordains that the Lino Lakes City Code is <br />amended as follows: <br />SECTION 1. DECLARATION OF NEED FOR EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />By Ordinance 08 - 97, the City Council adopted a residential organized solid waste <br />collection system. By Ordinance No. 16 - 97, the City Council extended the solid waste <br />hauler's license period from June 1, 1997 to January 1, 1998. Ordinance No. 08 - 97 was <br />submitted for voter approval at the November 4, 1997 municipal election and was <br />defeated. The City Council now finds it necessary to restore the previous license period <br />for the residential solid waste hauler's to avoid a gap of six (6) month in the license <br />period which would be caused if Ordinance No. 16 - 97 is allow to remain in force. <br />SECTION 2. RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION LICENSE <br />Section 507.04, Subd. 1A, Subpart (G) is hereby deleted and replaced with the following: <br />(G). Licenses for residential solid waste hauler's shall be valid for one (1) <br />year and shall expire on June 1st of each year unless revoked sooner. <br />This section shall be retroactive to June 1, 1997 and all residential solid <br />waste haulers are required to renew their license June 1, 1997. <br />SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. The effective date of this ordinance shall be <br />December 8, 1997. <br />PASSED by the Lino Lakes City Council this 8th y of December, 1997. <br />J L.
