Council Member Elliott introduced the following ordinance and moved <br />for its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />County of Anoka <br />ORDINANCE NO. 09-95 <br />AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE USE OF FIREARMS IN THE CITY <br />OF LINO LAKES <br />The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />does ordain: <br />The City Code of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, <br />is hereby amended by deleting and replacing Chapter 504, Firearms, <br />as follows: <br />504.01 Definitions. The following definitions shall apply <br />in the interpretation and enforcement of this section. <br />(1) Rifle. A shoulder weapon with a rifle bore barrel <br />and discharging a single shot or pellet at a time. <br />(2) Shotgun. A shoulder weapon with a smooth bored <br />barrel or barrels and normally discharging more <br />�- than one pellet at a time, except when using a <br />single slug. <br />(3) <br />Handgun. A hand-held weapon discharging a single <br />shot or pellet at a time. <br />(4) Non -firearm. A crossbow, pellet gun, BB gun, and <br />slingshots, including wrist rockets. <br />Firearms. For the purposes of this section, shall <br />mean rifles, shotguns and handguns. <br />(6) Bow and Arrow. Pointed tip arrow and bow. <br />(5) <br />(7) Written Consent. A written record of consent to <br />hunt upon a landowner's property. Such consent <br />shall be signed by the owner and contain the <br />following information: <br />a. Name, address, phone number of the landowner; <br />b. Name, address, phone number and date of birth <br />of the hunter; and <br />c. Description of the land upon which the hunter <br />has consent to hunt and the date that such <br />consent begins and ends. <br />
