Council Member Kuether introduced the following Ordinance and <br />moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />ORDIANNCE NO. 93-24 <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR INTERIM USES <br />The City Council of the City of Lido Lakes hereby ordains as <br />follows: <br />Section 1. Section 3, Subd. 2 of the City Zoning Ordinance is <br />amended to include the following definition: <br />Interim Use. A temporary use of property until a particular <br />date, until the occurrence of a particular event, or until <br />zoning regulations no longer allow said use. <br />Section 2. Section 4 of the City Zoning Ordinance is amended <br />to add the following subdivision: <br />Subd. 36 - Interim Uses <br />(1) PURPOSE AND INTENT: The purpose and intent of allowing interim <br />uses is: <br />(A) To allow a use for a brief period of time until a <br />permanent location is obtained or while the permanent <br />location is under construction. <br />(B) To allow a use that is presently judged acceptable by the <br />City Council, but that with anticipated development or <br />redevelopment, will not be acceptable in the future or <br />will be replaced in the future by a permitted or <br />conditional use allowed within the respective district. <br />(C) To allow a use which is reflective of anticipated long <br />range change to an area and which is in compliance with <br />the Comprehensive Plan provided that said use maintains <br />harmony and compatibility with surrounding uses and is in <br />keeping with the architectural character and design <br />standards of existing uses and development. <br />(2) PROCEDURE: <br />(A) Existing Uses: Uses defined as interim uses which <br />presently exist as a legal use or a legal non -conforming <br />use within a respective zoning district shall be <br />considered approved and shall be treated as allowed uses. <br />(B) New Uses: Uses defined as interim uses which do not <br />presently exist within a respective zoning district shall <br />be processed according to the standards and procedures <br />for a conditional use permit as established by sections, <br />subdivision of this Ordinance. <br />1 <br />
