Council Member <br />Elliott <br />moved its adoption: <br />introduced the following ordinance and <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />ORDINANCE NO. 08 - 92 <br />AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING SOLID WASTE COLLECTION SERVICE FOR EVERY RESIDENTIAL <br />HOUSEHOLD AND BUSINESS IN LINO LAKES. <br />The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes ordains: <br />507.01 PURPOSE <br />It is the intent of the City Council, by means of this ordinance, to require the <br />collection of mixed municipal solid waste throughout the City so that the disposal <br />of such materials is accomplished in a sanitary manner so that the health and <br />sanitary conditions of the residents of the City is properly safeguarded and so <br />that the City is in compliance with the State of Minnesota and Anoka County mixed <br />municipal solid waste management mandates. <br />507.02 SHORT TITLE <br />This ordinance shall be known as the Solid Waste Collection Ordinance of the City <br />of Lino Lakes, County of Anoka, State of Minnesota. <br />507.03 DjINITIONS <br />For the purpose of the Ordinance the following terms, phrases, words, and their <br />derivations shall have the meaning given herein. When not inconsistent with the <br />context, words used in the present tense include the future, words in the plural <br />include singular, and words in the singular include the plural. <br />"City" is the City of Lino Lakes, County of <br />"Collection" means the aggregation of mixed <br />from the place at which it is generated and <br />the waste is delivered to a waste facility. <br />Anoka, State of Minnesota. <br />municipal mixed municipal solid waste <br />includes all activities up to the time <br />"Mixed Municipal Solid Waste" means garbage, refuse, and other mixed municipal <br />solid waste residential, commercial, industrial, and community activities which <br />is generated and collected in aggregate, but does not include auto hulks, street <br />sweepings, ash, construction debris, mining waste, sludges, tree and agricultural <br />wastes, tires, materials collected, processed and disposed of as separate waste <br />streams. <br />"Garbage" means animal, vegetable, or other putrescible wastes, but excluding <br />sewage or other forms of water -carried wastes. <br />
