Subd. 11 Subgrade. "Subgrade" is the part of the <br /> roadbed at the elevation of the bottom of the gravel base. '*••� <br /> Subd. 12 Tack-Coat. "Tack-Coat" is a light coat of <br /> bituminous material applied to a surface prior to placing an <br /> overlaying mixture of bituminous material. <br /> Subd. 13 Street Access. "Street Access" is the right <br /> and ability to pass from a lot to a public street without the <br /> necessity of crossing private property. <br /> Subd. 14 Boulevard. "Boulevard" is the area of a right- <br /> of-way which is located between the street and property line on <br /> each side. <br /> Subd. 15 Testing Laboratory. "Testing Laboratory" is a <br /> company or department of a company which has recognized special <br /> expertise and skill in performing specialized tests intended to <br /> determine compliance with specifications. <br /> 302.03 Design Standards. The following standards will apply <br /> to each and every street hereafter constructed in the city. <br /> Definite and detailed specifications and plans shall be prepared• <br /> for each individual project based upon its own location and special <br /> features. The detailed specifications and plans shall be in <br /> accordance with this general outline and Minnesota Department of <br /> Transportaion (Mn/DOT) standards as applicable. <br /> Subdivision 1. General Design Stardards <br /> (1) Widths. Street right-of-way widths shall not be <br /> less than as follows: <br /> Minor Arterial. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 120 feet <br /> Collector Street. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 80 feet <br /> Local Street. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 60 feet <br /> Commercial and/or Industrial. . . . . . . . . . 80 feet <br /> Service Drive (except for service <br /> drive adjacent to principal arterial) . 60 feet <br /> Cul-de-sac. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 60 feet <br /> In cases where any temporary or permanent street <br /> has a right-of-way width less than 60 feet, the ' <br /> design and specifications for construction shall <br /> be considered as special. The design of such <br /> street shall be in such a way as the city engineer <br /> deems best for the contemplated use. The <br /> petitioner shall be required to enter into special <br /> agreements pertaining to the construction of these <br /> streets. <br /> (2) Intersections. Insofar as practical, streets shall <br /> intersect at right angles. In no case shall the <br /> angle formed by the intersection of two (2) streets <br /> 50 <br />
