Projecting signs which extend over public property are <br /> prohibited. <br /> Subdivision 19. <br /> Roof signs are prohibited. <br /> Subdivision 20. <br /> The exposed uprights, superstructure or back side of all <br /> signs must be painted a neutral color such as light <br /> blues, grays, greens or browns, unless such part of the <br /> sign is integral to the overall design of the sign. <br /> Subdivision 21. <br /> No sign shall be painted on, attached to, or affixed to <br /> any trees, rocks or other similar organic or inorganic <br /> natural matter. <br /> Subdivision 22. <br /> All signs including temporary and portable over six (6) <br /> square feet in size shall require a sign permit. <br /> Portable signs are allowed for only a 30-day period in a <br /> single location. <br /> Subdivision 23. <br /> Any Conditional Use application related to a sign <br /> exceeding six (6) square feet in area and/or thirty (30) <br /> feet in height shall not be granted until detailed plans <br /> therefore are filed with the city planner, reviewed by <br /> the design review board, and approved by the city <br /> council. <br /> Subdivision 24. <br /> For the purpose of this Ordinance, maximum square <br /> footage of a sign shall be computed on the basis of one <br /> (1) face of any multi-faced sign. <br /> Subdivision 25. <br /> The permit owner shall be responsible for all of the <br /> requirements of this Ordinance, including the liability <br /> for expense of removal and maintenance incurred by the <br /> City. <br /> Subdivision 26. <br /> GRANDFATHER CLAUSE: AlI signs located within the City <br /> of Lino Lakes prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, <br /> may continue to exist as to size, illumination and <br /> Page 16 <br />
