residential areas. <br /> (4) Should the rear lot line of a lot be common with the side <br /> lot line of an abutting lot, that portion of the rear lot <br /> line equate to the required front yard of the abutting <br /> lot shall not be f enced to a height of more than f our (4) <br /> feet. <br /> (5) Fences located eight (8) feet or more from the rear lot <br /> line may be up to eight (8) feet in height, except that <br /> fences for tennis courts may be up to twelve (12) feet in <br /> height with ten (10) foot setback. <br /> (6) Fences in Business and Industrial districts may be <br /> erected on the lot line to a height of six (6) feet; to <br /> a height of eight (8) feet with a security arm for barbed <br /> wire. <br /> (7) That side of the fence considered to be the face (facing <br /> as applied to fence posts) shall face abutting property. <br /> (8) No fence shall be permitted on public rights-of-way. <br /> (9) Fences which are ninety percent (90%) open (barb wire, <br /> chain link, woven wire, and other similar type fences) <br /> which are for the sole purpose of containing non-domestic <br /> animals are not subject to the provisions of this <br /> ordinance and do not require a building permit. Chain <br /> link fences shall have round steel parts and braces. <br /> (10) Fences shall be at least thirty percent (30%) open to <br /> provide space for the passage of air. No used material <br /> shall be used in construction of fences. <br /> Subd. 30. Tennis Courts. In all districts, the following <br /> standards shall apply: <br /> (1) A building permit shall be required for all tennis <br /> courts. <br /> (2) A conditional use permit shall be required for all <br /> public, semi-public, and commercial tennis courts. <br /> (3) An application for a building permit or a conditional use <br /> permit shall include a site plan showing the following <br /> along with all required information: <br /> The size, shape, pavement and sub-pavement materials, the <br /> location of the court, the location of the house, garage, <br /> fencing, septic systems and any other structural <br /> City of Lino Lakes Zoning Ordinance <br /> ADOPTED 7113/92 <br /> 40 <br />
