• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15-43 <br />APPROVING A SPECIAL EVENT AND PARADE PERMIT FOR ETHAN'S REASON <br />5K RUN AND 1 MILE WALK, SEPTEMBER 12, 2015 <br />WHEREAS, Ethan's Reason 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk, is planned for September 12, 2015; and <br />WHEREAS, 100% of the proceeds will go to the non-profit organization, Ethan's Reason, <br />which will be used to help to forward the mission of advancing research, education, and public <br />awareness of Batten Disease and rare diseases and to support individuals and families who have <br />been affected by Batten Disease and rare diseases. <br />WHEREAS, Kristine Davies organizer of Ethan's Reason has submitted an application for a <br />special event and parade permit in conjunction with the event; <br />WHEREAS, the city has conducted a background investigation of the applicant, and <br />WHEREAS, said permit application was reviewed for compliance with the City of Lino Lakes <br />for safety considerations by city administration, police, fire and public works divisions; and <br />• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />Minnesota: <br />That the City Council hereby approves the special event, parade/run applications for the 2015 <br />Ethan's Reason 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk subject to ongoing efforts to ensure proper safety, and <br />related issues. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 27th of April, 2015. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Roeser and was duly seconded by Council MemberKusterman and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Roeser, Kusterman, Rafferty, Stoesz, Rei%ert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />ATTEST: <br />• <br />d <br />1> v <br />Jeff Rejfie'rt, Mayor <br />
