• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15-50 <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PAID ON-CALL FIRE TRAINING COMPENSATION <br />PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes has decided to integrate fire services into the Public Safety <br />Dept tinent; and <br />WHEREAS, Paid On-call Firefighters are an integral part and crucial to the success of the Lino Lakes <br />Public Safety model; and <br />WHEREAS, Paid On-call firefighters do not receiving an hourly rate of pay during initial fire training; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes appreciates their dedication and time commitment and believes they <br />should be compensated. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka <br />County, Minnesota, does hereby establish an incentive program as follows: <br />• Must apply for and are hired as a paid on-call (POC) firefighter with Lino Lakes. <br />• Upon successful completion of Firefighter 1 training with State certification will receive $1,200. <br />• Upon successful completion of Firefighter 2 and Hazardous Materials training with State <br />Certification will receive $1,400. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 11th day of May, 2015. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Roeser and was duly seconded by Council Member Kusterman and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Roeser, Kusterman, Rafferty, Stoesz, Reimr <br />The following voted against same: d <br />none <br />ATTEST: <br />•J 1 mine Bartell, City Clerk <br />Jeff Reinert; Mfy6ir <br />
