CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 03-104 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT — <br />TWILIGHT ACRES WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Twilight Acres <br />Watermain Improvement project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, <br />and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of Bid <br />C & L Excavating, Inc. $165,192.50 <br />BNR Excavating, Inc. $169,350.00 <br />Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. $173,097.00 <br />Redstone Construction Company, Inc. $179,183.82 <br />Friedges Contracting $179,596.22 <br />Meyer Contracting, Inc. $184,566.00 <br />Penn Contracting, Inc. $184,586.40 <br />Northdale Construction, Inc. $193,853.18 <br />Engineer's Estimate $154,616.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that C & L Excavating, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with C & L <br />Excavating, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the Twilight <br />Acres Watermain Improvement project according to the plans and specifications approved <br />by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 14th day of July 2003. <br />f% <br />Ann J.
