• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 03 - 131 <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PROCESS TO REPLACE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />• WHEREAS, <br />• <br />the Lino Lakes City Administrator has resigned her position, effective September <br />5, 2003; and <br />it is necessary to hire a replacement City Administrator; and <br />an objective, professional process is required to attract qualified candidates; and <br />the outgoing City Administrator and the Director of Administration have <br />professional experience in recruitment and selection of qualified public <br />employees; and <br />the outgoing City Administrator and the Director of Administration recommend <br />that the recruitment process be as follows: <br />1. Staff determines, with city council, qualifications and skills desired in next <br />administrator <br />2. Staff prepares application form that requests information related to desired <br />qualifications <br />3. Staff prepares rating sheet by which applications will be rated, based on <br />qualifications <br />4. Staff, with assistance of consultants, elected officials and others, identifies <br />pool of qualified potential applicants <br />5. Staff advertises the opening and sends recruitment letters and brochures to <br />potential applicants <br />6. Staff prepares, with council input, questions for first interview <br />7. Staff receives and rates applications <br />8. Staff recommends, based on ratings, candidates for first interviews. <br />Applications for these candidates only are available for City Council <br />review <br />9. City Council determines finalists, based on results of first interviews <br />10. Finalists go through an assessment process with a professional search firm <br />at City expense <br />11. Staff prepares, with council input, questions for second interviews, based <br />on assessment results <br />12. Second interviews are conducted <br />13. The City Council, with input from staff, selects a candidate <br />
