Studenski, City Engineer <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: September 8, 2003 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 03-149, Declaring Cost to be Assessed, <br />21St Avenue Street & Storm Sewer Improvement Project <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote Required <br />BACKGROUND: <br />A Public Hearing for the 21' Avenue Street & Storm Sewer Improvement project <br />was held on August 12, 2002. Following the public hearing, city staff held a <br />meeting with the City of Centerville and reviewed the Joint Powers Agreement <br />and the proposed improvements. The City Council authorized the preparation of <br />plans and specifications and on September 9, 2002. The bids were received on <br />August 29, 2003 and are within the project budget. <br />The next step in the process is to declare the costs to be assessed. The total <br />amount to be assessed is $360,000.00 <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Adopt Resolution 03-149, Declaring Cost to be Assessed, 21' Avenue Street <br />& Storm Sewer Improvement Project. <br />2. Not Adopt Resolution No. 03-149. <br />3. Return to staff for further review. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option No. 1 - Staff recommends that Resolution No. 03-149 be adopted. <br />
