6. Satellite Dish Height. The height of the antenna or dish measured <br />vertically from the highest point of the antenna or dish when positioned for <br />operation, to the top of the foundation which supports the antenna. <br />7. Short -Wave Radio Transmitting and Receiving. A wire, set of wires or a <br />device, consisting of a metal, carbon fiber, or other electromagnetically <br />conductive element used for the transmission and reception of radio <br />waves used for short -wave and citizen band radio communications, and <br />including the supporting structure thereof. <br />8. Secondary Use. A use of land or of a building or a portion thereof which <br />is subordinate to and does not constitute the primary use of the land or <br />building. <br />9. Structure, Public. An edifice or building of any kind, or any piece of work <br />artificially built up or composed of parts joined together in some definite <br />manner which is owned or rented, and operated by a federal, state, or <br />local government agency. <br />10. Support Structure. Any building or other structure other than a tower <br />which can be used for location of antennas. <br />11. Tower. Any ground mounted pole, spire, structure, or combination <br />thereof, including supporting lines, cables, wires, braces, masts, intended <br />primarily for the purpose of mounting an antenna or similar apparatus <br />above grade. <br />12. Tower, Temporary Mobile. Any mobile tower, pole, or structure located on <br />a trailer, vehicle, or temporary platform intended primarily for the purpose <br />of mounting an antenna or similar apparatus for personal wireless <br />services, which is commonly referred to as Cellular on Wheels (COW). <br />Apartment. A room or suite of rooms which is designed for, intended for, or <br />used as a residence by a single family or an individual, and is equipped with <br />cooking facilities. Includes dwelling unit and efficiency unit. <br />Applicant. The person(s) whose name(s) are on an application as owner, their <br />agent or person having legal control, ownership and/or interest in land for which <br />the provisions of this Ordinance are being considered or reviewed. <br />Base Map.
