Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Comments <br />Recommendation that the Natural Heritage <br />Database be re-evaluated due to April 2013 MN <br />update of species status <br />The NHIS database was reviewed on March 2015. Results from this review were included in <br />Appendix B of the 2015 AUAR update <br />DNR encourages the city of continue to require <br />rare species surveys as development moves <br />forward <br />Comment noted. No change has been made to the AUAR. <br />DNR suggests that the document include a <br />stronger treatment of invasive aquatic and <br />terrestrial species and notes that Peltier Lake is <br />document as infested with Eurasian watermilfoil <br />Comment noted. No change has been made to the AUAR. <br />DNR recommends that the AUAR acknowledge <br />the draft plan of the groundwater management <br />areas where the AUAR is located and to have the <br />AUAR reflect draft plan's objects about water <br />conservation, aquifer recharge and quality of <br />recharge water <br />The City will review this plan and take this comment under advisement. No changes to the <br />AUAR have been made. <br />DNR noted that Peltier Lake is classified as Lake <br />of high Biological Significance <br />The original AUAR on Figure 11-1 notes Peltier as High Quality <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation <br />Planning Comments: Any new interchanged <br />proposed must go through review process as <br />described in MnDOT's HPDP <br />If any future interchanges are proposed, it will go through the Interchange Planning review <br />process. <br />August 17, 2013 <br />Page 3of3 <br />
