PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT AND PARTICIPATION Public Engagement and Participation The Anoka County Parks and Recreation Department has been working with the local units of government and regulatory agencies, as well as the Anoka County Transportation Division, which includes the Highway Department and the Transit Department, in the planning process of this trail master plan. The draft master plan was developed and Anoka County will be reaching out to the public for comment. Figure 15, illustrates the population racial density by census tract for the service area of the trail. It is the intent of Anoka County to conduct a public comment period as well to receive public comment. In addition, post card invitations will be sent to residents along the trail corridor acrid a notice advertising the comment period will be published in the legal newspaper of Anoka County. The draft master plan will be posted on the Anoka County website. Any comment received will be incorporated into the master plan.
