ACCESSIBILITY <br />The proposed trail is located in an area where poverty levels vary from 0 - 24% of the population being <br />below the poverty level. The majority the service area consists of 2.1 to 4.3% of the population being <br />below the poverty level. This is based on the 2006-2010 American Community Survey 5 -Year Estimates, as <br />shown in Figure 17. <br />In addition, the Anoka County Traveler Transit Link, as shown in Figure 20 and Metro Mobility dial -a -ride <br />services provide transportation for a minimal fee. <br />anywhere there is an address or cross <br />street, or anywhere along the regional <br />trail as long as the vehicle does not have <br />to back up. Currently all of the vehicles <br />are equipped with bike racks so <br />passengers wishing to bike on the trail <br />could use Transit Link to preschedule a <br />trip to/from anywhere along the trail that <br />a large vehicle can access. <br />Once built, the trail will provide a no cost <br />alternative transportation option to <br />residents in the area. <br />Transit Link will pick up and drop off passengers <br />Figure 18 <br />The trail and any facilities and amenities along the trail will , standards mandated by the <br />Americans with Disabilities Act. <br />Page 21 <br />
