CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15-136 <br />AUTHORIZING PUBLIC SAFETY DIRECTOR TO IMPLEMENT <br />TRANSITION PLAN FOR FIRE SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Public Safety Fire Division will become the primary agency for fire <br />calls for services within the City of Lino Lakes on January 1, 2016; and <br />WHEREAS, Centennial Fire District Chief Harlan Lundstrom and Lino Lakes Public Safety <br />Director John Swenson have met to discuss and plan for the transition of fire services in the City <br />of Lino Lakes; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Centennial Fire District (CFD) member cities, which <br />includes Lino Lakes, Centerville, and Circle Pines, that any decisions regarding this transition be <br />left to the public safety professionals; and <br />WHEREAS, Chief Lundstrom and Public Safety Director Swenson have created a timeline in <br />the months of December 2015 and January 2016 for the transition of fire services and presented <br />it to the CFD Operations Committee, which they approved on November 9, 2015. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes does <br />hereby authorize the Public Safety Director to implement a transition plan for fire services in <br />Lino Lakes. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 23rd day of November 2015. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />and was duly seconded by Council Member and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />
