Council Member O'Donnell <br />adoption: <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01-129 <br />RESOLUTION TO SET PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT OF <br />DELINQUENT SEWER AND WATER UTILITY BILLS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has established a quarterly billing system for sewer <br />and water utility service for residential and commercial users, and, <br />WHEREAS, certain residential and/or commercial users have not paid their quarterly <br />utility billing in a timely manner, and <br />WHEREAS, the city code provides for assessment of all delinquent sewer and water <br />utility billings, <br />NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. City staff is directed to prepare an assessment roll of the delinquent sewer and <br />water utility bills as required in Chapter 400 of the City Code. <br />2. A hearing shall be held on October 22, 2001, in the city hall, 600 Town Center <br />Parkway , Lino Lakes, Minnesota, at 6:30 p.m. or as soon as can be reached on the <br />agenda, to pass upon such proposed assessments and at such time and place all <br />persons owning property affected by such assessment will be given an opportunity <br />to be heard with reference to such assessment. <br />3. The City Clerk is directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed <br />assessment to be published twice in the official newspaper and shall also cause <br />mailed notice to be given to the owners of each parcel described in the <br />assessment roll. <br />4. The owner of any property so assessed may at any time prior to the certification of <br />the assessment to the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such <br />property. Such payment must be made before October 26, 2001. <br />
