Council member O'Donnell introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001-133 <br />RESOLUTION SETTING THE TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING FOR THE PROPOSED <br />2002 OPERATING BUDGET AND 2001 TAX LEVY COLLECTIBLE IN 2002. <br />WHEREAS, government entities are required to hold Truth in Taxation hearings to <br />receive public input on the proposed operating budget and tax levy; and, <br />WHEREAS, cities may not hold their hearings on the same dates as Counties and <br />School Districts; and, <br />WHEREAS, the first two Mondays in December have been set aside exclusively for <br />cities to hold their Truth in Taxation Hearings; and, <br />WHEREAS, due to the extended 2002 legislative session and the delay in assembling <br />necessary data, the Minnesota State Legislature has waived the <br />requirement of a Truth in Taxation hearing for the 2001 tax levy payable <br />in 2002; and, <br />WHEREAS, although the requirement of a hearing has been waived, the City Council <br />of Lino Lakes wishes to set a Truth in Taxation Hearing on the 2001 tax <br />levy payable in 2002. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, <br />Minnesota, that: <br />1. The Truth in Taxation hearing date is hereby set for Monday, December 10, 2001, at <br />6:00 p.m. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 10th day of September, 2001. <br />Viger, Deputy •'ty Clerk <br />John erge n, Mayor <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Dahl and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: Bergeson, Carlson, Dahl, Reinert and O'Donnell. <br />The following voted against same: None. <br />Where upon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
